Commodity Watch: Zinc futures decline on lower turnover

New Delhi: Zinc prices fell 0.23 per cent to Rs 300.20 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded lower by 70 paise in 772 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.

Copper futures slip on low demand

Copper futures fell Rs 1.45 to Rs 1,019.50 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market. Copper futures for the December contract eased 0.14 per cent in a business turnover of 3,548 lots.

Aluminium futures fall on weak trend

Aluminium prices declined by Rs 1.20 to Rs 274.60 per kilogram in the futures trade, as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.
